Pre-Auction

Every auction begins with a preview period. The auction preview is a 45 minute period where clients can register to participate in the bidding, and view and inspect items that are available at the auction, including Art and Memorabilia pieces. Customers will also be able to check out and try on jewelry and time pieces.

Registration can be done by heading to the jewelry counter and fill out a registration form. This step is important because it gives clients the ability to partake in the bidding process. There is no obligation to register - although it gives the client the opportunity to bid and win! Don’t worry, we do not sell any information we get to third party marketers. We will only use it to send notifications for upcoming auctions in the area.

After registration our staff will hand out green stickers to customers so that can mark items that they are interested in. We are a request only auction which means only items that are marked with a green sticker or requested by customers will be auctioned off.

The Auction

After the preview time is up, our highly trained auctioneer will make their announcement that the auction is about to begin and they will explain the auction procedures, details, and answer any questions that a participant may have.

Once an item is ready for bidding the auctioneer will briefly state and explain the current for sale lot.

The Bidding Process

The auctioneer will suggest a price, reserved or otherwise. Raise your bidding card or make a gesture to the auctioneer to meet that price and get the ball rolling.

Here we go! The bids start to come thick and fast as the auctioneer keeps the momentum pumping.

You might bid and go unchallenged. Well done.

Counter bid? Well, how badly do you want the item? How much further is your counter bidder willing to go? YOU determine the market value. Your heart should be pumping but don’t lose your nerve. You gotta be in it to win it. Stay on budget but give yourself a little wiggle room and push the other bidder off the cliff.
